The Holidays Approach!

The holiday season is almost here!  Thanksgiving is only three and a half weeks away.  Our students will enjoy an entire week of Thanksgiving vacation this year.  We've been working really hard, so I'm sure that they will enjoy the rest and play time!

Vacation time doesn't mean that learning has to be put on hold.  There are lots of fun things that you can do with your child during a holiday break to keep their minds sharp.  Here are some suggestions:

  • Write a letter to a family member that you won't get a chance to see during the holidays.
  • Have your child compare prices for common Thanksgiving foods.
  • Cook something simple with your child from a recipe.
  • Write a Thanksgiving story with your child.
  • Read a book with your child each day and talk about what you read.

The suggestions above are just some of the great things that you can do to help keep your child's mind active during the holiday break.

Happy Thanksgiving!
